Build a Renewal Evidence Package a Security Sponsor Can Use
Organize outcomes confirmed by the customer before an internal renewal review.
A renewal evidence package should answer the sponsor’s real internal question: what changed, what remains open, and what decision is required. It should not become a pile of product screenshots or claims that the customer has not confirmed.
Ask the sponsor which audience will read the package. A security leader may need operating evidence, while finance may need scope and timing. Confirm which measures the customer trusts, such as reviewed alerts, completed workflow changes, or investigation records.
At a fictional utilities company, the sponsor may want to show that its analysts now have a documented overnight escalation path. The renewal specialist can capture the customer’s description, identify the owner who can validate it, and note the next improvement already planned.
Keep a clean divide between observed activity and claimed business impact. If a value statement needs confirmation, label it as a question. The sponsor should never have to correct the seller’s summary in an executive meeting.
Practice asking, “Which evidence will your internal reviewers consider credible?” The rep should use the answer to choose only relevant material. They should not start with a standard account review deck.
DealSpeak coaching can check whether the specialist discovers the audience, evidence owner, and decision date. A strong practice call ends with a short agreed package and a review session that uses confirmed benefits.
