Explore a SASE Access Workflow Before You Demonstrate Policy
Connect secure access evaluation to a user journey and policy owner.
Secure access evaluations are more useful when they follow a real user journey. A solutions engineer should ask which employee, contractor, or administrator path creates the concern and who owns the policy that governs it. A broad policy demonstration comes later.
Learn what the user needs to reach, what context is considered during access, and where the current process creates friction or uncertainty. The customer may choose one application or population as an approved test.
At a fictional design agency, contractors may need limited time access to a project system from unmanaged devices. The engineer can map approvals, user support, and evidence needed to review the path. The customer controls which environment is used.
Do not promise seamless access for every scenario. Device posture, identity data, network conditions, and customer policy influence the result. State those dependencies during planning.
Roleplay a buyer saying, “We need secure access everywhere.” The engineer should ask which journey matters first and what outcome would demonstrate progress.
