Clarify Portable Restroom Placement for a Road Project

Road work sites can move faster than a standard delivery route. An inside sales coordinator should record the quantity requested, anticipated service cadence, traffic control constraints, approved drop zone, and the superintendent who can authorize placement. Dispatch needs those facts before it can assess any delivery or service request.

Kelsey, a project administrator, said, “Can the driver choose a safe spot if the lane changes, and can you guarantee daily service?” Andre replied, “The superintendent needs to approve the final location, and dispatch needs the current access plan before it can review service. Who is the superintendent, and how often does the drop zone change?” Kelsey said it could change each morning. Andre answered, “Please provide the superintendent’s number and the traffic control contact. I will add the daily update process to the routing request.”

Andre leaves the placement decision with the customer’s site authority. Dispatch must weigh route conditions and capacity against the current work area. His record lets dispatch update routing when the customer reports a new work area.

Use a recent delivery call for practice. Make a short intake list containing location authority, access restriction, schedule, and update method. Roleplay a caller who says, “Just figure it out when you arrive.” Practice explaining why the branch needs a decision maker before routing. Finish with a recap that says who will send tomorrow’s access information.
