Respond to a Light Tower Contact Report
Coordinate site safety, documentation, and inspection after a light tower contacts a structure.
When a light tower contacts a structure, the service manager should establish immediate safety and isolation status before discussing equipment condition. Ask who is on site, whether anyone was hurt, whether the customer has followed its incident process, where the unit is located, and who can meet a qualified inspector. The call should create a controlled record and leave the cause for the appropriate review.
Grace, a site coordinator, said, “The tower brushed a loading canopy. Can we move it to another corner and finish tonight?” Malik replied, “Please follow your site's incident and safety process and keep the unit out of use until the appropriate review occurs. Has anyone been injured, and has the area been secured?” Grace said nobody was hurt but the facility manager wanted photographs. Malik continued, “I will arrange an inspection request and document the equipment identity, location, and facility contact. Your team can manage the property assessment through its approved process.”
Malik does not assign blame or authorize reuse. He connects service inspection with the customer's site responsibilities and records the information both sides need for follow-up.
Use a roleplay where the customer wants a quick answer about damage. Ask the service manager to summarize the known facts, name the inspection owner, and identify the customer contact for the site review. Afterward, check whether every statement described an action, a fact, or a proper escalation.
