Plan an Airport Skincare Assortment Within Store Rules
Build a practical SKU proposal around fixture, security, and placement constraints.
Airport assortment planning is a constraint exercise. A buyer may want travel friendly skincare while fixture limits, liquid rules, and contracted placements narrow the available choices. Start by gathering those operating facts before recommending an attractive collection.
Ask for the fixture dimensions, current liquid display restriction, security review process, and the available placement. Match eligible SKUs to those details one by one. An endcap may be valuable, but a competing line’s contract means the account manager cannot offer it as part of an initial plan.
In a fictional review, Farah says, “Can you get us an endcap, and will every item clear security?” Account manager Miles says, “Endcap placement is contracted separately, so I will not include it as a commitment. Let’s work from your current fixture and security rules. Which liquid restriction applies to this shop?” Farah shares the limit. Miles replies, “I will send a SKU list with each item’s verified packaging and ask airport operations to review the plan.”
Roleplay a buyer who pushes for a universal compliance promise. The manager should ask for a rule, cite item level verification, and name the operations reviewer. Score the proposal on whether every suggested SKU has a reason tied to space or security.
