Map contract expiry before a connectivity migration

A carrier consolidation request often begins with a deadline and very little inventory. An Enterprise Account Executive can make the first meeting useful by separating contracts that are known to expire from sites whose terms, equipment, and business use still need checking. That gives procurement a credible starting point and keeps the conversation away from assumed migration dates.

Ask the buyer to name the locations that matter most, then ask who holds each agreement and where the records live. Include a question about early termination, site access, and any local authority that can approve a change. A simple map with site, current provider, end date, owner, and unknowns is enough for the next discussion.

In a fictional call, Priya, an account executive, hears, “We need one provider by July.” She replies, “July tells us what to investigate. Which sites have agreements ending before then, and who can confirm the others?” The procurement director says, “Our regional teams hold some contracts.” Priya continues, “Let’s invite those teams to a forty minute inventory session. We can mark terms, operational dependencies, and the decisions your procurement group needs.” The director agrees and names the regional leads.

After the call, write the meeting invitation around the inventory rather than a proposed solution. Attach the five fields needed for each site and ask each owner to fill only what they can verify. Rehearse the opening with a colleague, especially the question that turns a target date into a discovery task. Review the completed map for missing owners before the workshop begins.
