Asking About Adoption Before Proposing a Healthcare Rollout
Discover who will use a new workflow and how leaders plan to support operational change.
A strong evaluation examines the people who will use a workflow as carefully as the product features. Account executives can ask about training ownership, local champions, existing processes, and measures the buyer already uses to watch adoption. The answers guide a realistic evaluation plan and expose stakeholders who should join early.
Do not promise adoption rates or reduced workload. Instead, ask how teams currently learn new tools and what would make a proposed change hard to sustain. Invite the operational leader to define success in their own terms and bring implementation specialists only when the discussion reaches their expertise.
In a fictional conversation, Helen says, “Our staff has seen too many launches that vanish after kickoff.” Drew replies, “What happened in the last rollout that made it hard to keep using? I would like to understand who trained staff and who noticed problems first.” Helen says, “Each clinic made up its own approach.” Drew says, “That suggests we should include clinic leaders in the evaluation. We can map the current process before we discuss any rollout plan.”
For practice, choose a past evaluation and list every adoption question asked. Add three questions about users, ownership, and local variation before the next meeting.
