A boutique event may need special inventory, display pieces, and staff preparation. The account manager should learn the event date, guest list size, assortment goal, and delivery window before discussing quantities. Allocation belongs to an approved inventory process, especially when several accounts want the same collection.
“I need twelve of the new pendants for our trunk show,” buyer Grace said. Account manager Leon answered, “I can submit the request with your event date and current sales plan. I need to check allocation and delivery timing before I can confirm a quantity.” Grace asked, “Can you at least promise the display tray?” Leon said, “I will include it in the request and return with the approved answer. The buyer gets a real path forward: a complete request and a date for the answer. The manager also protects the account from inviting guests around merchandise that has not been confirmed. Document display needs, selling materials, and staff education separately because each may have a different owner.
