Review bandwidth evidence with a legal firm before an upgrade

A legal firm may request more bandwidth after lawyers report delays with case files or video hearings. The solutions engineer adds value by organizing the evidence that connects the complaint to a time, application, and network path.
Ask when the delays occur, which offices see them, and whether staff are using a document platform, video platform, or remote access service. Ask the technology team for traffic records that cover the same window. Do not assume that one reported symptom identifies the source. The goal is a shared fact set for the firm’s technical reviewers.
In a fictional review, Erin says, “Partners say the network slows every afternoon. Should we upgrade the circuit?” Malik replies, “An upgrade may be one item to evaluate. Which application is delayed, what time does it happen, and do the reports come from one floor or several?” Erin says video hearings and document uploads peak near four. Malik answers, “Please bring the platform administrator and your network lead to a data review. We can align usage records with the reports and determine what needs further testing.”
The decision is whether a capacity request should bypass investigation. It should become a review of measured use and business effect. That lets the firm assess its choices with a clearer record and prevents an engineer from treating a preliminary report as a confirmed cause.
