Turn a marina wireless request into a survey plan

A marina manager who asks for wireless service across docks is describing a desired result. The solutions engineer should turn the request into a survey plan that accounts for staff work, tenant access, physical layout, and changing seasonal conditions.
Ask where staff use tablets, where visitors connect, and which docks carry payment or safety related activity. Request an up to date site drawing and ask about power, mounting permissions, and areas blocked during boating season. Water, metal structures, and moving vessels may influence a design review, so record observations rather than promising a result from a map.
In a fictional workshop, Noah says, “We need Wi Fi from the fuel dock to the outer slips. Can you tell us where to place access points?” Teresa replies, “A survey will give us facts for that decision. Which users need access at each dock, and can your facilities lead show us the available mounting locations?” Noah says fuel attendants use payment tablets and transient boaters ask for guest access. Teresa answers, “I will include those workflows in the survey brief. Let’s also invite your harbor master, since dock access and peak season activity affect when we can measure the area.”
The decision is whether a general coverage request can support placement guidance. It cannot until the team has observed the site and agreed the user requirements. A well prepared survey keeps the conversation tied to actual working conditions.
