Assess remote clinic capacity before sizing connectivity
Use traffic, power, and clinical review facts to plan a remote clinic network assessment.
A remote clinic that sends imaging to a central hospital needs more than a bandwidth estimate. The solutions engineer should understand traffic timing, power resilience, and the reviewers who govern clinical and privacy needs. Those facts determine what an assessment must measure and which design choices deserve further review.
Ask when imaging transfers happen, how large the transfers are, what other traffic shares the connection, and what clinicians experience when a transfer slows. Ask facilities which circuits the generator supports. A generator that covers only essential circuits changes the resilience conversation. Clinical IT and the privacy team also need a chance to identify requirements before a service size is presented as final.
In a fictional workshop, Heather, the healthcare network engineer, asks, “Can you guarantee image transfer speed?” Cole says, “I cannot guarantee a transfer result before we measure traffic and review the site conditions. Could you share a week of transfer times and identify the imaging owner? The decision is whether to size from a single number or from the real workload. Use the workload. The team should document peaks, overnight transfers, priority traffic, and site power boundaries so reviewers understand what the proposed design has been asked to support.

Have a partner ask for a performance guarantee. Respond with an assessment plan that names the data source and the person responsible for each input.
