Build an Adoption Recovery Plan Before a Renewal Decision
Help an enablement sponsor address uneven manager use with clear evidence and ownership.
Uneven manager adoption deserves an honest renewal conversation. The renewal manager should help the customer identify where the routine is working, where it stopped, and what a practical recovery attempt would require. The account record can support that discussion, while local managers explain the conditions behind the numbers.
Theo says to an enablement VP, “The Northeast managers completed reviews regularly, while the West activity declined after April. What changed in the West?” She says a new regional leader changed meeting schedules. Theo asks, “Would that leader be willing to describe the current manager rhythm before we decide what recovery is realistic?” The VP agrees and requests examples from the Northeast. Theo offers to prepare the activity pattern and let the manager champion explain their routine in their own words.
Start with a narrow recovery question. It might be whether a manager can protect ten minutes in an existing review, whether current material fits a new message, or whether an administrator must restore access. Set an owner and a date for the experiment. Do not treat a strong region as proof that every other team has the same conditions.
Ask a colleague to play a sponsor who says, “Just tell the low use region to participate.” Practice asking what changed in their work and who can confirm it. Then draft a recovery plan with one team, one routine, one owner, and one review date. At the renewal meeting, show the customer the evidence, the agreed experiment, and the decision they need to make after it has been reviewed.
