Respond When a Prospect Says They Already Have Conversation Intelligence
Keep an outbound enablement call useful by asking how recorded calls become manager action.
“We already have conversation intelligence” is useful information for an SDR. It means the team may have recordings and analytics. The next question is how managers use that material in coaching. A clear distinction helps the prospect explain their own workflow without forcing a product comparison.
In a fictional call, SDR Malik says, “That gives your managers a lot to work with. When a report shows discovery is weak, how does a manager turn that into a seller practice session?” Sales leader Irene says, “They can listen to calls, although it is inconsistent.” Malik replies, “That is the question I hoped to understand. Would it help to bring your enablement owner and one frontline manager together for a short discussion of the review process?” Irene says, “We do not need another dashboard.” Malik says, “The meeting can focus on the coaching moment after the dashboard, including what managers ask sellers to retry.”
The response respects the existing investment and makes the relevance concrete. It also avoids claiming that the customer’s current system is inadequate.
Practice this exchange until you can say it without reciting a script. A partner should interrupt with, “We have no time.” Ask which current meeting contains call review and whether one manager could describe it. Write down the meeting owner and the one process question you would explore.
