Prepare a school network assessment for online testing

A district technology director may ask for confidence before online testing, but a credible assessment begins with the network each school actually uses. Shared municipal fiber, changing test windows, and local support procedures can all shape readiness. The account executive’s job is to organize those dependencies so a design team can examine them with the district.

Maya says, “We cannot have testing fail. Can you guarantee the network will hold?” Andre responds, “I hear the pressure on the district. The assessment needs the topology at each school, the planned testing windows, and the ownership of the municipal segment before anyone can evaluate readiness. Which campuses share that fiber, and when will the schedule be final?” Maya identifies two campuses and says the assessment coordinator is still choosing dates. Andre says, “I will invite the municipal network team and your assessment coordinator to a design review. We will separate the district equipment from the shared infrastructure and agree what evidence the engineers need.”

The next meeting should produce an inventory of circuits, firewall paths, wireless use, testing device counts, and support contacts. It should also show which facts remain pending. This record gives leaders the facts and owners they need to decide what to investigate before a test window.
