Run a Final RFP Review That Tests Evidence, Consistency, and Commitments
Use a practical final review before submitting an institutional asset management RFP.
Final review is not a spelling pass. It tests whether every material answer is current, consistent, responsive, and approved. Start with the prospect’s instructions: required format, word limits, attachments, delivery channel, and deadline. A strong answer can still fail if the submission does not follow those requirements.
Review by claim type. Check figures against the stated date for which they apply, process statements against approved materials, and service descriptions against operational confirmation. Compare repeated facts across narrative, tables, and attachments. When wording differs, resolve the discrepancy with the accountable owner and use the supported version.
In a final meeting, a reviewer notices that one answer says a report is quarterly while another says monthly. The lead pauses submission, asks operations which statement applies, and corrects both locations. If the answer depends on client configuration, the response explains that condition. The team records the source and approver.
Coach teams to include a commitment scan. Highlight every shall, will, provide, and support statement; verify that it is authorized and qualified where needed. Then read the response as a prospect would: does each answer address the question with evidence? A disciplined final review protects credibility and makes the next stage diligence conversation much easier.
Keep a submission record containing the final files, evidence register, approvals, and delivery confirmation. That record lets the team answer later questions consistently and improve its next response without relying on memory.
