Run a partner demo readiness review
Help channel managers prepare a partner demonstration around customer goals, approvals, and credible evidence.
A partner demonstration can lose credibility when it begins with features before the customer has described the problem. The channel manager should review readiness with the partner by connecting the planned demonstration to a known customer workflow and a responsible follow up.
Ask what the customer asked to see, who will attend, and what facts have been confirmed. Review any proposed statements about coverage, compatibility, price, or service terms against approved materials and the right internal owners. If the partner lacks a needed answer, plan a question for the customer or a follow up after validation.
In a fictional prep call, Nadia says, “Our customer wants a quick demo tomorrow. We will show how the service works everywhere their crews travel.” Chris responds, “Let’s make the demo fit what they asked for. Which routes and devices did they name, and what would they consider useful evidence?” Nadia says the operations manager mentioned two counties and company tablets. Chris says, “Use those facts in discovery, then explain that location and device details need validation. We can prepare a demonstration of the workflow and identify what the solutions team should review next.”
The decision is whether an energetic demo needs a complete answer for every customer question. A relevant conversation earns the next step when it states the evidence available and the question still open.
Practice by reviewing a fictional demo agenda. Remove one unsupported claim and replace it with a customer question. Ask a teammate to play the partner, then make sure the agenda ends with a named owner for every item requiring approval.
