Review travel data needs before a shopper leaves
Help travelers understand approved roaming plan terms, device use, and account decisions before a trip.
Travel questions can arrive minutes before a shopper leaves for the airport. A consultant can still create a useful review by learning where the customer is going, how they expect to use the device, and who controls the account. Use the approved current materials to explain available travel choices, terms, and any steps the account holder must complete.
Anika says, “I am flying to Japan tonight. Will my phone work there, and what will it cost?” Theo replies, “I can show the current travel options for your destination. Will you need calls, maps, or a large amount of data, and are you the person authorized to change this account?” Anika says she is the account holder and will use maps and video calls. Theo says, “Let’s review the approved roaming information for Japan, including the listed data allowance, charges, and instructions. I will also show where you can monitor use while you travel.”
Avoid an unverified coverage statement for a specific hotel, route, or activity. If the shopper asks about device compatibility, consult the approved resource or route the question for validation. Give them the terms in a form they can access during the trip.
Practice a travel conversation using a destination from current approved materials. Ask about usage before price. End by asking the shopper to explain the chosen option back to you, including who can make the account change.
