Closing a Healthcare Evaluation With a Clear Decision Record
End an evaluation by confirming evidence, outstanding reviews, and the buyer’s decision process.
An evaluation can drift when every meeting produces a new question without a shared record of decisions. A healthcare account executive should close the review by summarizing what the buyer verified, which specialists still need to respond, and how the buyer will decide. This supports a useful next step whether the buyer continues, pauses, or chooses another path.
Use the buyer’s language for the workflow and criteria. Separate observations from unverified claims. Name any privacy, security, procurement, or legal review that remains open and avoid treating an internal discussion as an approval.
In a fictional closeout, Omar says, “We liked the workflow demo, but finance and privacy still need to weigh in.” Leah replies, “I will record that the operations team reviewed the workflow. Privacy and finance remain open reviewers, and your steering group meets on the fifteenth. What materials would help them make their assessment?” Omar says, “A short workflow summary and the security packet.” Leah says, “I will send the approved versions and confirm the next meeting after your group has reviewed them.”
After every evaluation, create a decision record with evidence reviewed, open owners, dates, and buyer language. Read it with a manager before sending it externally.
